Poori - Yummy recipe

Ingredients:
  • Oil - to fry the poori
  • Wheat Flour - 1cup
  • Luke warm water - 1/4 cup
  • Salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Sugar - 1/4 tsp
Method:
1. Take a bowl, add the dry ingredients (Flour. salt. and sugar) and mix them well.
2. Add water little by little and mix them well to make a soft dough.
3. Do not make it sit for hours. You can make the dough and immediately you can make pooris.
4. Divide the dough into small balls and then roll them into small circles.
 5. Heat the oil, and when the oil is ready then put one by one and fry them.
6. Press slowly, and that'll make your pooris puff.
7. then puffy pooris are ready to serve. 
8. This goes well with Potato Masala or Channa Masala.

Happy Karthigai and Hand-Made Diyas


Hi friends,


It's been a long time i posted my creations before you. Here today i'm posting my Karthigai celebrations i had last friday with the agal vilaku(Diyas) i prepared....
Happy Karthigai.... I really like this day u know... because it will be so bright and wow to have lights lit up everywhere in our house will make us feel so happy ... isn't it :)

Baby Potato Fry

Hi friends,


This is my husband's favorite fry. It's so delicious and very easy to prepare. This recipe is how my Chitappa Ravi does with baby potatoes. Lots of fans for his baby potaot fry in our family. He is a great cook too...




Ingredients:

  • Baby Potato - 25 nos
  • Chilli powder - 1tsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Hing - 1/4 tsp
  • oil - 1 tsp for seasoning
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Urud dal - 1/4 tsp 
  • Oil - to fry the baby potatoes

Method:
1. Take a pan, add water, salt and baby potatoes and boil them until the potatoes are cooked well.
2. Then peel the skin off from the potatoes and fry them in oil till they are getting golden brown color.
3. Then keep them aside and let the oil drain.
4. Then take a pan, add 1 tsp of oil and heat it.
5. Once the oil is ready, add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urud dhal, hing, curry leaves, and turmeric powder and saute well. 
6. Then add the fried baby potatoes to it and add 1 tsp of chilli powder. Then saute them well till the baby potatoes are finely coated and fried. (might be for 2 mins)
7. That's it yummy and mouthwatering baby potato fry is ready.
