Masala Vadai

Ingredients:
  • Channa Dhal - 1 cup
  • Fennel Seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Onion -  1 small chopped
  • Cilantro Leaves - chopped
  • Spring onions - 2 Chopped
  • Red Chilli - 6 Nos

Method:
  1. Soak the channa dhal and red chillies for atleast one hour.
  2. Then grind them together but do not make it to a paste and keep it aside.
  3. Finely chop the onions, cilantro, spring onions and mix the fennel seeds, cumin seeds, and the chopped ingrdients to the blended mixture.
  4. Adding fennel seeds will give extra flavour to the masala vada.
  5. Then take small small balls, press with the palms into disc shape. (Don't make it into thick discs because it may not cook well.)
  6. Then heat the oil in the pan and fry the discs until they turn into golden brown.
  7. Yummy golden masala vada is ready to taste.
