Puli Aval



Ingredients:
  • Aval - 1/2 cup
  • Tamarind Pulp - a small lemon size
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Hing - 1/4 tsp
To Season:
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Urud Dhal - 1 tsp
  • Channa Dhal - 1 tsp
  • Hing - 1/4 tsp
  • Green Chilli - 1/2 chopped finely
  • Curry Leaves - 6- 7 leaves
  • Salt - as required
Method:
  1. Finely wash and drain the poha and keep it aside.
  2. Then add the puli thanni to the drained poha and add salt, hing and turmeric to it and mix well and keep it aside for atleast 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Take a pan, and heat the oil and add the mustard seeds, urud dhal, channa dhal, and saute them.
  4. Then add the ginger, green chilli, curry leaves and salt.
  5. Then after some 2 minutes add the marinated poha mixture and stir them well.
  6. Yummy Puli Poha is ready to serve.
